FastShip: Empowering Thai SMEs to Enter Global Markets with Easier Shipping Services

FastShip is a Thai international shipping platform that uses technology to connect Thai e-commerce businesses with leading international shipping providers worldwide, making it easier than ever to send packages abroad to over 200 countries.

FastShip offers a one-stop service, allowing customers to send packages abroad easily through a 100% online platform. Customers can also opt for package pickup services, that pick packages right from their address. Moreover, FastShip integrates with global marketplaces such as eBay, Amazon, Etsy, and Shopify to automatically fetch order information and tracking numbers, facilitating Thai entrepreneurs' expansion to international markets.

What sets FastShip apart from traditional shipping services is its emphasis on automation. International shipping involves complexities like document preparation, taxes, and coordination with multiple carriers. FastShip employs automation to streamline these processes, saving time and enhancing convenience for users. Additionally, FastShip uses technology to reduce service costs for customers, adhering to the principles of economy of scale.

Creating a User-Centric Experience

According to FastShip’s Founder and CEO, Wootinun Sung-Ong, a good payment experience must be user-centric, offering payment options that meet customer needs and providing a simple and convenient payment process.

This is why FastShip chose Opn Payments as their credit card payment service provider. Opn Payments offers a card information storage feature that allows customers to make payments quickly without re-entering their card details. The user journey can be customized to meet the business's needs, without redirecting customers to another page, and with the option to bypass OTP entry.

Wootinun mentions that they started using Opn Payments in 2017, switching from an international payment gateway due to low authorization rates with Thai debit cards.

"The integration didn't take long. It was straightforward with an Open API from the start. My developers could easily understand the documentation, and there was a test environment available for system testing without worrying about real transactions."

Future Vision for FastShip

Wootinun states, "FastShip aims to be the go-to platform for Thai businesses wanting to go international. I believe that the domestic e-commerce market is a Red Ocean now, and the only way Thai SMEs can succeed is by going abroad. However, one major bottleneck is shipping. FastShip aims to solve this problem. Therefore, our upcoming products will focus on helping Thai SMEs go global."

In the future, FastShip plans to introduce FastFreight, a sea shipping service for bulk shipments, and FastBox, an international warehousing service to store ready-to-ship products in destination countries, saving shipping time as this is in line with their goal of boosting the growth of Thai e-commerce to global standards.
