Opn began in 2013 with one product that helped merchants accept payments – a payment gateway. Today, the company offers a full range of financial tools for businesses seeking to generate more revenue and have more control over their financial operations and reach.
In a recent press briefing with the Thai media read more, Ezra Don Harinsut, Co-founder and President of Opn mentioned the company’s intention to become a true end-to-end, global leader in borderless and seamless payments technology. The company will roll out more products and services in 2023 as it continues to work towards its vision of providing access to the digital economy for people and businesses.
In Thailand, an emerging market ripe with growth opportunities, Opn works across multiple verticals, with clients including True, the leading telco in Thailand, Pomelo, a well known fashion brand throughout Southeast Asia, and Roo Jai, a popular and fast growing online insurance company.
The plan for 2023 is to deepen our vertical penetration in the Thai market. Leveraging our close working relationship with customers and based on their feedback, we will develop solutions to better support key verticals such as the insurance industry. Opn will also boost support to merchants who seek to be PCI DSS compliant and require technical support.
Following our rebrand from Omise to Opn and acquisition of MerchantE, Opn is now one of the leaders in payments in the Asia-Pacific region and the top 25 provider of payment processing in the U.S. In 2022, we processed over US$19B in payment volume for more than 20,000 businesses.
Despite current economic conditions, Opn will forge ahead into 2023, now with our robust front- and back-end payment technology and presence in Asia and the US. We look forward to partnering with even more merchants, helping more businesses grow, and ultimately, making digital finance seamless and borderless for everyone.
