[Update: September 5, 2018] Google released a new version of Chrome, version 69.0.3497.81 which included a fix.

We wanted to notify you of a bug in the current version of Chrome which is affecting the display of the payment form on the Omise Shopify extension. This issue only affects users on MacOS who are using Chrome version 68.0.3340.84.

The Symptom

Once the user is redirected from your Shopify store to the Omise payment form, it appears for a brief period of 3 to 5 seconds before turning to a blank white page. This results in the user being unable to complete their payment.

This bug does not only affect our payment form - other Chrome users are reporting similar behavior when viewing PDF files.

The Cure

The next version of Chrome is due for release on September 4th, 2018, however, there has been no confirmation whether it will include a fix for this issue. In the meantime, users can get around the problem by switching to another browser tab and back, or to another app and back. Other browsers are working just fine. We have tested on Firefox and Safari, and everything is running smoothly as normal.
