GoWabi is an online platform designed to meet all beauty and wellness needs, allowing customers to easily discover and book services nearby, select dates and times based on real-time availability, and pay online. Users can search by location and category, compare prices and promotions, and read reviews and ratings.

Initially, GoWabi offered booking services for men's haircuts. It later expanded to include other beauty and wellness services, such as manicures, hair treatments, massages, acupuncture, cosmetic surgery, health checkups, and vaccinations. Today, GoWabi boasts over 1 million customers and partners with more than 10,000 businesses all over Thailand.

Evolution of GoWabi's Payment Methods

Wipawee Wongsirisak, CCO and Co-founder of GoWabi, shared that when GoWabi launched in 2016, payments could only be made at the store. This led to frequent no-shows from customers who booked through the platform but did not show up for their appointments, causing stores to lose revenue. To address this issue, GoWabi introduced online payment. Initially, customers transferred money and sent payment slips to the platform's LINE account. However, as the platform grew, this method became increasingly impractical.

As a result, GoWabi sought a reliable payment service provider and chose Opn Payments to offer a seamless and secure online payment experience for customers through both the website and app.

Variety of Payment Methods to Meet Diverse Needs

GoWabi integrated Opn Payments to streamline its payment process, enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of back-office operations, such as real-time payment status checks, revenue reporting, and reconciliation.

Opn Payments' installment solution supports credit cards from multiple banks, allowing customers to pay for services in monthly installments. This increases customers' purchasing power and enables merchants to offer higher-value services.

E-wallets:

Opn Payments also supports e-wallets like TrueMoney and Alipay, which are becoming increasingly popular. Adding e-wallets helps the platform meet the needs of both international and Thai customers.

Future Plans

GoWabi started with the idea of simplifying the process of booking haircuts. It has since expanded its services, number of merchants, and features, becoming the top comprehensive beauty booking platform in Thailand. Wipawee Wongsirisak shared that GoWabi plans to further expand the services offered on the platform to cover more areas, aiming to be the go-to online booking platform for all demographics. Additionally, GoWabi is focusing on developing its POS system or merchant management system, allowing merchants to manage bookings and monitor sales more easily, as well as conduct CRM with customers to better access customer data.
